Aluk Todolo is a French instrumental power trio formed in 2004, known for their hypnotic and trance-inducing "Occult Rock" that blends elements of occult black metal with krautrock and psychedelic improvisation, creating ritualistic music with repetitive rhythms, distorted guitars, and sparse percussion, drawing inspiration from ancient animist beliefs. The name itself comes from an animist religion in Sulawesi, Indonesia, meaning "the Way of the Ancestors".
