Angurvadal - Winds of Jötunheimr CD

The cold wind blows once again from the nordic lands, as Angurvadal finally unleashes their debut full-length album. After 2 brilliant demos and one EP, this project materializes an opus forged from transcendence and iron will, this album follows somewhat closer to the lines of the brilliant "Blodskald" EP. With longer song structures and more atmospheric sound, with strong presence of the ever lurking shadowy keyboards place a layer of spiritual mist and ominous atmosphere over the record, this sound is closer to that of acts like Graveland, Branikald or Drudkh, while still maintaining the mid-paced marching beat and often Punk-ish elements of Bilskirnir. The Jötun march once again in defience to the old gods as nature's indomitable wrath and primeval chaos awakens.
